Podium Finish at The Mint400

Huff Motorsports Super Hooligan team had lots of fun in Las Vegas over the weekend of March 7-8... and then a bit more fun.

16yo rider David Kohlstaedt rode the hell out of the Destination Harley-Davidson XG750 against 24 entries in the Roland Sands Super Hooligan National Championship Series, Round 2 at The Mint400. After qualifying number 2, he took 1st in the heat race and had the best main battle ever.

David got the hole shot, got out in front and was pushing hard as he led the first few laps.

The team continues to learn about David’s riding style and learn just how far a flatrack tire will go on asphalt. Unfortunately, we sent David out on a tire that should have been replaced for the main and he just couldn't hold the pack off. He fell back to 4th, fought back to 2nd, then finished 3rd.

Now just one point out of 1st Place and a decent lead over third place. This is gonna get good as David and Tony battle it out again in Del Mar, CA for Round 3 of the Championship Series on March 28th.
